Eric Standley is a Virginia, USA based artist who uses the laser cut technique to create modern art from paper. His artwork is inspired by Gothic and Islamic architecture from the 12th century. They are so detailed and multifaceted that they resemble real building elements, as if they had been made with mallets and iron.
In fact, he just works with numerous layers of paper stacked on top of each other. These are then cut with pinpoint accuracy using innovative laser technology. Crazy, right?
